College for Adults – National College Transition Network

The College for Adults website is a project of the National College Transition Network (NCTN).

The goal of the National College Transition Network (NCTN) is to support ABE staff, programs, and states in establishing and strengthening ABE-to-college transition services through technical assistance, professional development, collegial sharing, advocacy and increased visibility for this critical sector of the adult basic education system. Additional stakeholders in reaching this goal are postsecondary educational institutions and workforce development providers.

Join thousands of members commited to the effective transition of nontraditional learners to postsecondary education. The NCTN brings together the various efforts of educators, professional development providers, policy makers, and researchers concerned with effective college transitions to postsecondary education for GED, ASE, and ESOL graduates and other non-traditional learners.

If you are interested in joining the NCTN, please visit our Membership page or email us at [email protected].

The NCTN also provides fee-based technical assistance and professional development on:

  • planning and designing college transition programs
  • developing instructional content and support services
  • creating evaluation tools
  • forming partnerships with postsecondary institutions
  • developing program guidelines and funding

National College Transition Network (NCTN) is a part of World Education, which is a nonprofit organization founded in 1951 to meet the needs of the educationally disadvantaged around the globe.
